I’m an interdisciplinary artist who loves to dream, create and inspire.
My artwork ranges in size from handheld sculptures to life-size figures that get their own seat belts to ride to galleries. My paintings range in size from their sketched starting point to large-scale murals. I’ve hosted paint nights, illustrated children’s books, performed paintings on stage to audiences of 300+, and I carry my sketchbook everywhere.

Sketch inspiration process

Sculpting "Weathering" from start to finish. Most sculptures start with a model from a sketch
Building in solid clay in the studio (Progress photos from ceramics residency at Art Center West, Roswell, GA)
Continuing in solid clay with metal armatures for interior support
Beginning to add further limbs
Refining the general pose in solid clay
Comparing the life size figure's proportions and pose to the reference sculpture
Removing the metal armature supports to start cutting apart for hollowing
Cutting off limbs to individually start hollowing out the body
Piece by piece, every limb is cut and hollowed out, including the torso which is cut into two sections
Hollowing out the butt, each piece will be a quarter to half inch thick before reassembling
After the kiln firing, beginning to reassemble the piece with marine grade epoxy putty
